Registry programming question Empty
PostSubject: Registry programming question   Registry programming question EmptyThu Jul 14, 2011 12:23 am

Hi

I'm trying to change registry values using REG command within a batch file. I'm able to Add and Delete keys, but not to edit them.
For instance i should change the value of a 'Default' registry entry from something to 'value not set' or vice versa. If i use 'reg add' command for that, it adds another entry with the same name instead of changing the value of the existing one. I can't use 'delete the old one and add a new one' technique, because it's not possible to delete 'Default' entry.

It is really frustrating that it's possible to add and delete registry keys and values, but not to modify them by REG.

I would prefer to do the task using .bat not .reg file. I'm also not so familiar with vbs.

Thanks a lot in advance
