| Some of you may know I partake in FBLA. However I'm not creating this thread to discuss that. I'll be heading up to Reno a week from tomorrow for competition. I am to write a speech on the following prompt - Code:
-
Strengthening the confidence of students in themselves and their work.
What I need from you is ideas. I'm also looking to incorporate someone who has made a significant impact in the world. Someone who refused to give up and persevered. |

| Is this from a student's perspective or a teacher's? |

| I don't really see how that matters. However seeing as how I'm not a teacher it'd make sense for it to be through a students perspective. |

| Well just a quick something to get ideas flowing.
Intro
-Name introduction -Why is confidence important? -The more confidence one has in themselves the more likely it is for them to successfully complete work or school related tasks (idk probly need some research for this) -maybe throw in a statistic like "Only 80% of students feel confident in what they do" (this is not a real statistic btw lol) -Transition: "Let's first take a look at what exactly confidence is"
Topic #1: What is confidence and why it is important?
- Dictionary definition of: confidence.
- Examine Models of where confidence is crucial. I.e.: President
-Lack of confidence comes off as insecure, which people will mistake for inability to work/do a job.
- Lack of confidence can lead to depression and/or social awkwardness? (needs research)
-Etc. etc.
Topic 2: How to strengthen ones confidence
- Ideal leadership/teaching abilities is crucial
- Positive feedback goes a long way in establishing co-workers/students confidence
- Improper training will lead to lack of confidence
- Strong leadership makes employees confident
Idk this was kinda hastily thrown together and sucks lol but maybe it'll jog some ideas for u |

| The real Guevara was a reckless bourgeois adrenaline-junkie seeking a place in history as a liberator of the oppressed. But this fanatic’s vehicle of “liberation” was Stalinism, named for Soviet dictator Josef Stalin, murderer of well over 20 million of his own people. As one of Castro’s top lieutenants, Che helped steer Cuba’s revolutionary regime in a radically repressive direction. Soon after overthrowing Batista, Guevara choreographed the executions of hundreds of Batista officials without any fair trials. He thought nothing of summarily executing even fellow guerrillas suspected of disloyalty and shot one himself with no due process. |

Extremely right-winged POV. Che didn't advocate Stalinist ideals, he opposed imperialism. As for the brutal murders...well, I can't deny that. |
