Well... back to server isolation. Not that it matters to me, but I can see how stopping it completely helps them regain some control of their game when it comes to moving hacked gear (Not that they should have lost control in the first place).

just nexons lame excuse at attempting to control the game, they should of done something like this like 2 years ago not now lol.

sadly all this does is piss off ppl that used mts for storage and selling, and ppl with real reasons to server xfer

hackers will find ways around it

Oh please, this game is so over powered in the first place. Hacked gear is just something people want to blame for that being the case. It's so stupid.

With how easy it is to start up a character I wonder if any legit people even use world transfer. It's a huge waste of money. All I can say is that should have gone sooner- like about big bang time sooner.

I don't play anymore but quick question while I'm here eating up my precious time reading posts about an old game...

How does getting rid of the MTS fix this problem? New way to do it: buy their hacked equips with mesos, sell them off for mesos later and get rich all the same.

I'd say they were more beneficial for transferring around items than characters. It was nice knowing there's more than one option when looking for items (that are harder to find).

Removing world transfers hurts legit players more than hackers.

If you are 100% legit; have all self-acquired equips and never used a bot, hack, or abused a glitch (glitch LHC channels count too) it will likely take you a LONG time to get to 200. So if you get to 200 and you suddenly need to change worlds, you'll pay the NX and go to a different world.

Alternatively, if you're a hacker, you likely have 25m+ NX from duping 10 attack work gloves & abusing the MTS (I can think of a few people who fit this description). If you need to suddenly need to change worlds, you just make a new character in that new world, fund it out the anus, and get to 200 in a week. No need to world transfer, it's actually faster not to since you don't have to wait for the maintenance to have it happen.

Of course, without the MTS the hackers' ability to get pro crap is slowed significantly, but with nigh infinite NX, you could fund your character with gachapon. So they don't really care one way or another.

This is just another case of Nexon trying to do something, making it easily exploitable, trying to fix it, being incompetent & unable, just to remove it & leave the game in a horrible mess (worse off than if we had never had their feature in the first place).

Maplestory just got a tad better. This brings me back to the days in 06 and 07. Now maybe this game would be more fun and competitive when new servers come out.

I used a world transfer... back in 2009, haha. I let my friend borrow my account and he moved my highest level character to Khaini, and there was no way in hell I was restarting it back then, so I moved it back. I know quite a few legits(to my knowledge) who left Scania with world transfers as well, because they didn't want to convert their equips into NX to have to buy them again, and wanted to bring their character with as well. Some people just don't like wasting time restarting and would rather take the easier, $25 way.

But I'm glad they removed them. Now there's not going to be as many of the annoying merchants/dupers from other worlds coming to Scania with all their stuff and making our economy be even more fucked. It's already in the shitter as it is.
