Cracking my lost password Empty
PostSubject: Cracking my lost password   Cracking my lost password EmptySat Dec 10, 2011 4:32 am

I lost my password to my usb drive which was encrypted in linux.

This might sound like a school project, but it's not. I know the password was six characters long, numbers and letters only. I also know that each of the six characters is one of three possible choices.

I'd like to know how to crack it in either (or both) linux and windows. (Windows can't even read the drive natively as it is ext based, but maybe there is an easy way)

What methods/software can best help me get the job done?

Have you tried using a brute-force cracking program? Those aren't very hard to find using Google. Other that than...I think you're asking that particular question in the wrong place.

Hackforums.net may be better place for this.
